Pauline Paris is a songwriter and belongs to the new wave of french music. Her songs have many influences such as bossa nova, jazz, tzigane music, and even disco of the 80s! But they all have one thing in common : the text.
At age 23, Pauline has already made many concerts in Paris' pubs and cabarets, such as La Java, La Bellevilloise, Théatre Essaion, Le Lapin Agile, Les Trois Mailletz, La Balle au Bond, L'Entrepot, Le Gambetta, Le Connetable, Le Café de Paris.
In the different places you'll go and see her, you will hear her playing alone with her guitar, or accompanied by several musicians (her Parisians!) : a bassist, a drummer, a violinist, a trumpetist, a pianist, a saxophonist, a harmonicist, a second guitar...
For four years, she's been helped by the editor "Quart de Lune", thanks to whom she has finished a recording of 13 songs. This first record - Sans sucre s'il vous plait -, made in 2006, is available, during the concerts and on the internet. (www.cdmail.fr)
Now, Pauline has created a trio with two musicians : Rafael Leroy (bass/contrebass) and Hector Gomez (drums/percussions). Together, and with a few guest musicians (Igor Bessières, Adrien Marco, Léonore Le Roy, Sylvio Barahona, Philippe Bas, Manuel Delgado, Zied Zouari), they have recorded a second album - Le Grand Jeu - that will appear in September 2009.
